Argyll is a consultancy for electrical infrastructure in rural Scotland, run by Sean Norris from Paisley, on the west side of Glasgow. Its work in 2026 is the Rural and Island Infrastructure Fund: finding the businesses whose land qualifies for grant-funded public charging, and putting them together with the operators and installers who build and run it.

The fund exists because the market has not reached these places on its own. The grant is highest on the islands and in the most remote postcodes, and that is where take-up has been lowest. Argyll's job is to close that gap, one site at a time, before the fund's dates run out.

How we work

Finding eligible sites across the Highlands and islands is a research problem before it is a sales problem. We use AI tooling to search, classify and check thousands of rural businesses against the fund's own rural classification, so that the sites we approach are the ones that qualify. A person confirms every eligibility, makes every call, and writes every proposal. The tools make us thorough; they do not make the decisions.

What we are not

Argyll is an independent introducer. We are not an operator, an installer, or a grant administrator. We do not sell chargers, we do not take a share of charging income, and we cannot accept a grant offer or sign a contract on your behalf. Our fee is paid by the operator or installer, not by the site.
